Introduction:

Indeed the first pizzas were Vegetarian or Vegetable Pizza as legend goes. The tomato pie and the tomato and cheese pie. Reportedly Queen Margherita thought pizza to be common food, not worthy of a royal.

Pizza has a long history. Flat breads with toppings were consumed by the ancient Egyptians, Romans and Greeks ( The latter ate a version with herbs and oil, similar to today’s Focaccia). But the modern birthplace of pizza is southwestern Haly’s Campania region, home to the city of Naples.

The world’s oldest pizza was vegan. It didn’t take long for someone to change pizza marinara from cheeseless to cheesy. As six-two reports, that honor goes to Raffaele Esposito, who topped the pizza with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and basil in 1889.

Today we are going to know the ingredients and cooking process to cook a perfect vegetable pizza.

Making Pizza’s Dough:

Ingredients-

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1.5 cups Yeast
  • 1 tbsp Soybean Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions-

1. First take half a cup of water in a pot and heat it lightly. Now soak the yeast in a bowl with lukewarm water for 10 minutes.

2. Now take 2 cups of flour in a separate container and mix 1 tsp salt and 1 tbsp soybean oil with it. When the soaked yeast is foamy, mix it with the flour. Then mix the flour well with the quantity of water. Knead it for 10 minutes, cover the bowl with the dough and keep it in a warm place for 1 hour.

Making Tomato Puree:

Ingredients-

  • 6 Tomatoes, Medium
  • 2 Onions, Chopped
  • 2 Pieces of Cinnamon, 2 cm
  • 3 Cloves
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar

Instructions-

1. Wash the tomatoes with clean water and cut them into small pieces with the help of a knife. Tomato seeds should be discarded while cutting. Once cut, place a pan on the stove. Heat chopped tomatoes, 1/4 cup water, 1 tsp salt, 3 cloves, 2 tsp sugar, 2 chopped onions and 1 tbsp vinegar in a pan. When everything is boiled and melted, mix well with 2 pieces of cinnamon or 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder and salt and keep it in a bowl.

Cook the Pizza’s Filling:

Ingredients-

  • Pre-made Tomato Puree
  • 1/2 cup Grated Paneer
  • 8 Pieces Capsicum slices
  • 2 Onion slices
  • 2 tbsp Shredded Cabbage
  • 1/4 cup Boiled Peas
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Celery
  • 1 tsp Chopped Parsley
  • 1 Tomato slice
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • dry Chilies Roasted and Powdered

Instructions-

Now This Is The Vital Step to Make Vegetable Pizza-

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

2. After about an hour check if the pizza dough has risen. When the pizza dough rises, take it out of the pot, knead it well two or three times and divide it into two. Now knead a large loaf with each portion of dough.

3. Now spread the prepared tomato puree on top of the bread. Sprinkle some cheese evenly over it. Spread shredded vegetables like – capsicum flakes, onion flakes, cabbage flakes, carrot flakes and boiled peas on top of the cheese layer.

4. When the vegetables are spread, sprinkle them with oregano, pepper, cumin and salt to taste. Then place tomato slices in the middle and on three sides. Drizzle 1 tbsp soybean oil over pizza. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.

5. Basic pizza on the tree. Now it’s time to bake it. Bake the pizza in a hot oven for 12-15 minutes or until the pizza is fully baked. Once the pizza is baked, it can’t be taken out of the oven, the toppings should be added from above. Sprinkle oregano on top.

Vegetable pizza is ready. Now serve it.

Recipe Notes:

  • If you want, instead of using these vegetables, you can use any vegetables of your choice. You can increase or decrease the amount of cheese as you wish.
