Introduction:

The first Chicken Patties is thought to have been created in 1946 by an Atlanta restaurant entrepreneur named Truett Cathy as a substitute for the famous hamburger. His recipe was simple. He grilled a piece of chicken fillet and served it in a bun. He called this new invention of his the Chick-fil-A.

What are chicken patties made of? If you were to buy frozen chicken patties—no judgment—the ingredients might include ground chicken, flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Most of those ingredients are incorporated into this version, with some new special players.

Making Puff Dough for Chiken Patties:

Ingredients-

  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 3 Cups Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1.5 tsp Salt

Instructions-

1. To make the puff dough, soften the butter beforehand.

2. Then mix two cups of flour, baking powder, salt and 1/2 cup of water together in a bowl. Then knead the mixture well. Knead the dough well and cover it with a wet cloth for fifteen minutes.

3. After 15 minutes take out the flour. Then sprinkle light flour on the rolling pin and roll the bread to a thickness of 1/4 cm. When the bread is done, spread all the butter evenly in the middle of the bread, and spread evenly around. While removing the butter, care should be taken to leave a space of 2.5 cm or one inch at the edges so that the butter does not stick there.

4. Then fry the bread with butter. Once folded, place on a tray. Now keep the bread with the tray in the refrigerator. Instead of keeping it in the refrigerator, keep it in some other cool place.

5. After 15 minutes, remove the buttered bread from the refrigerator. Then sprinkle dry flour on the bread pan and place the buttered folded bread on it. When the buttered bread is hard, beat it lightly with a rolling pin. Beat and fold again as before. This time you will fold six. Put back in the refrigerator. Take it out again after 15 minutes. Then beat again with a balloon. Now fold 8. Refrigerate for last time.

Cooking Chicken Patties:

Ingredients-

  • Puff Dough
  • 1 Small Chicken
  • 3/4 cup Onion
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 tsp Crushed Ginger
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 pieces of Cinnamon (1 cm)
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 4 Green Chilies
  • 2 tsp Coriander or Mint Leaves
  • 1 / 2 tsp Red Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Soybean Oil
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1 Egg

Instructions-

1. Take a small sized chiken to cook chiken patties. Then cut the chicken and clean it. Then wash the chicken thoroughly with clean water. After the chicken is washed, boil the chicken in a pot with enough water to submerge the chicken. When the water dries up and the meat is cooked, remove it from the water. Then wash it with clean water, remove the meat from the bone and mince it with a knife.

2. Now grind cinnamon and cardamom. Peel the onions and coarsely chop them. Chop green chillies and mint leaves or coriander leaves.

3. Now heat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot, add one tablespoon of chopped onion, one bay leaf, one teaspoon of chopped ginger, chopped cardamom and cinnamon, four raw chillies to the oil. Then continue to stir and fry lightly with the help of a spoon. When it is slightly fried, add the minced meat and some water.

4. When the water dries up in the pan, fry some more onions. After some time add 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper and fry for a while. Then add coriander leaves and stir and add flour. Fry everything well and then let it cool.

5. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius or 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

6. Now roll the puff dough to a thickness of 1/2 cm. Then cut round (9 cm diameter) biscuit pattern or cut round with a knife. Put a tablespoon of fried meat in the center of one piece and brush the edges with water. Now cover with another piece of round bread. Press the edges of the bread together. And if you press on the chiken patties with a relatively small round tin, a round spot will be formed around it (even if you don’t leave this spot).

7. After that, cut the dough trim into small circles in the middle of the chiken patties, apply water and press it down. Prepare all the patties like this and place them on a baking tray.

8. Now break an egg in a bowl and beat it well. Then take the patties placed on the tray. Brush the patties with beaten egg. Then bake the chicken patties in the heated oven for 20 to 30 minutes.

Remove the chicken patties from the oven and serve hot or you can store the chicken patties in a closed container for a few days.
